TSA Watch: MCO

Last updated: Mar 24, 2026 01:35 PM ET — 19 reports across 3 days

Earlier reports: Mar 24, 2026 01:34 PM ET|Mar 24, 2026 12:37 PM ET|Mar 24, 2026 11:40 AM ET|Mar 24, 2026 11:17 AM ET|Mar 24, 2026 10:40 AM ET|Mar 24, 2026 09:57 AM ET|Mar 24, 2026 09:24 AM ET

MCO security screening times remain consistently fast as of Tuesday afternoon. The most recent reports (Tue Mar 24, 12:32 PM) show 12-minute wait times, with multiple travelers reporting waits of 10 minutes or less throughout the morning (Tue Mar 24, 6:55 AM through 12:07 PM). One traveler cleared security in 90 seconds (Tue Mar 24, 08:24 AM).

TSA PreCheck and CLEAR users are seeing notably faster processing. PreCheck alone produced 15-second waits at the JetBlue terminal (Mon Mar 23, 5:57 PM) and 10-minute waits during peak morning hours (Mon Mar 23, 12:57 PM). A family of four using both PreCheck and CLEAR cleared security in under 15 minutes (Mon Mar 23, 8:36 PM).

General security lines showed slightly longer waits earlier in the week. Sunday afternoon (Sun Mar 22, 4:42 PM) reported 30-minute waits during spring break return traffic, though general line users at 5 AM (Sun Mar 22, 5:36 AM) noted wait times were climbing. By Monday and Tuesday, general line times dropped back to 10–30 minutes across all reported periods.

Recommendation: Arrive 45 minutes before departure for domestic flights if using standard security, or 30 minutes with PreCheck. Current conditions are favorable, but spring break travel remains active, so extra buffer time is prudent.

MCO is always easy if you make a reservation to go through security. I am usually through quicker than my spouse who has TSA pre-check.
