Afternoon and evening waits are longer. Monday evening (Mon Mar 23, 09:41 PM ET) saw average waits of 30 minutes—26 minutes above typical—across all lines. Terminal 4 PreCheck (Mon Mar 23, 11:19 AM ET) took 4 minutes, showing that PreCheck consistently outpaces general lines by 15–25 minutes.
Recommendation: Arrive at LAX 2.5–3 hours early for domestic flights, especially for afternoon departures. If you have TSA PreCheck, plan for 1.5–2 hours and target early morning slots (before 8 AM) when waits drop to 2–10 minutes. Terminal 3 and Terminal 7 have been reported with shorter lines in recent observations.

I have not seen ICE at LAX. Got here at 430am for 630am flight expecting long delays and ICE everywhere. Fully staffed TSA at check in and all stations open. I was hoping for some ICE fist bumps.
